The roof over your head, done right.

Tile, shingle, foam and metal, and the storm work in between. If there's a stain on your ceiling right now, skip ahead to storm damage below.

The whole roof

Everything that keeps the water out.

A roof is more than what's on top of it. The leaks we chase are almost always at the edges and the openings, so those are part of every job.

  • Re-roofing, including shingle and tile replacement.
  • Flat roofing, coatings and thermal inspection.
  • Repairs, from one cracked tile to a failed valley.
  • Insurance restoration, documented properly and walked through with your adjuster, and help when a claim comes back denied or underpaid.
  • Ventilation: intake and exhaust balanced so the attic can shed heat. See insulation & attic.
  • Flashing at valleys, walls, chimneys and every penetration, which is where most leaks start.
  • Skylights, reflashed or replaced while the roof is open, not cut around.
  • Gutters, sized and pitched for monsoon volume rather than average rainfall.

The actual decision

When a repair stops making sense.

Most calls we get aren't "replace my roof". They're "there's a stain on my ceiling, what does that mean." Here's how we tell you the truth about which one it is.

Repair, if…

The deck underneath is sound and the failure is local. A cracked tile, a split flashing, one bad seam. Most leaks are this, not a whole-roof problem.

  • ▲Damage is isolated to one area
  • ▲The underlayment or deck is still within its life
  • ▲No pattern of repeat leaks in different spots

Replace, if…

You're past the material's service life, or you're paying for the same repair in a new spot every year. At some point patching costs more than the roof.

  • ▲Underlayment or deck has failed, not just the surface
  • ▲Two or more repair calls in the last two years
  • ▲Storm damage covers more than a small area
We tell you which one it is in the inspection, in writing, with photos, before you've agreed to anything. If it's a repair, we say so, even though the number's smaller.

Storm damage & insurance claims

We'll meet your adjuster on the roof.

Most homeowners lose the claim in the first hour, by describing damage they can't see to someone who won't climb up to look. We document it properly, we're there when the adjuster is, and we don't start work until it's settled.

  1. Free damage report. Photos, measurements, and a written scope. Yours to keep whether you file or not.
  2. We file with you. Your carrier's language, your policy's terms, our documentation.
  3. We meet the adjuster. On the roof, with the report in hand. This is where claims are won.
  4. You pay your deductible. Plus anything the policy doesn't cover. We'll show you exactly what that is before work starts. Nothing up front, and nothing until the claim clears.

How a job runs

Inspection

We get on the roof, photograph everything, and show you what we found, even if the answer is "you've got five years left, call us then."

Scope & number

An itemized proposal with materials specified by name. You'll know what underlayment we're using and why.

Build

Our crew, a dumpster on site, magnets over the yard at the end of every day. You get a start date and we keep it.

Final walk

We walk it with you, hand over your warranty terms in writing, and register the manufacturer coverage in your name.
