Windows & doors

Fogged glass, failed seals, old aluminum frames that are hot to the touch by noon. Windows and doors are the biggest exterior upgrade after the roof, and they meet the stucco in exactly the way a roofer pays attention to.

Signs it is time

  • Fogged glass: moisture between the panes means the seal has failed. The glass can't be cleaned clear again.
  • Failed seals and drafts: you can feel the air move on a windy day, or see daylight around the sash.
  • Old aluminum windows: common in older Valley homes, and the frame conducts the heat straight through.
  • Damaged frames: warped, cracked or sun-rotted, and no longer closing square.
  • Aging sliding doors: heavy to move, off their track, or letting dust in at the bottom.

What we replace

  • Windows, from single openings to the whole house.
  • Sliding patio doors.
  • Entry doors.
  • French doors.

Every opening gets flashed and sealed to the wall properly, and the stucco around it patched and finished. A new window in a cracked opening is still a leak.

Retrofit or full frame

A retrofit window fits inside the existing frame and leaves the stucco alone. It is faster and costs less. A full-frame replacement takes the old frame out, which means cutting the stucco back and patching it, and it is the right call when the old frame is damaged or the opening has been leaking. We'll tell you which one your openings need and why, not just which one is cheaper. When the stucco is opened up, patching and paint are part of the same job.

Questions we get asked

Can you replace just one or two windows?

Yes. A single failed unit is a normal call.

Will the new windows match the old ones?

If you're replacing some but not all, we'll talk through what's available before you commit, so you aren't surprised by a mismatched elevation.

Do you do the stucco around them too?

Yes. Patching and finishing around the opening is part of the job, not a separate trade you have to find.
