Solar
Panels go on a roof, and they are bolted through it. So the first solar question isn't which panel. It's whether the roof underneath will outlast them. That's the question we're built to answer.
Roof first
Putting new panels on a roof with a few years left means paying to take them off and put them back when that roof is replaced. If your roof is close to the end of its life, the right order is the roof, then the panels. We'll tell you plainly which side of that line you're on.
Every mount is a hole in the roof. Getting each one flashed and sealed properly is roofing work, and we make sure it's done to the same standard as the rest of the roof.
How it runs
You call us
Often it starts with a roof inspection, and the question of whether solar makes sense comes up there.
We qualify it
We look at the roof's age, condition and layout, and whether it should be done before anything goes on it.
We coordinate
We bring in a licensed solar partner, and we line up the roof work and the solar work so they happen in the right order.
One contractor
You deal with us throughout, including for the roof penetrations the panels sit on.
What we coordinate
- Solar
- Battery storage
- EV charging
- Electrical upgrades, including the panel work solar or a charger often needs
- Energy consultation, to work out what's worth doing on your house
The work itself is done by a contractor licensed for it, under our contract. You deal with one company from the first visit to the final walk.
Questions we get asked
Do you install the solar yourselves?
The work itself is done by a contractor licensed for it, under our contract. You deal with one company from the first visit to the final walk.
How much will solar save me?
It depends on your usage, your roof and your utility plan, and we won't put a number on this page that we can't stand behind for your house. The consultation is where you get a real one.
I already have panels and need a new roof. Can you help?
Yes. Call us. The panels have to come off for the roof to be done properly, and that's a job to coordinate, not improvise.
